Our samples pack shows all of the materials that we currently use at PrintRobot, but the following should serve as a basic guide for you to follow. As usual, if you are unsure about any aspect of our web site or your print job, we are always at the end of the phone.
Paper is classified by its weight (grammes per square metre), the higher the gsm the heavier and thicker the paper will be. The following should serve as a basic guide.
- 80 to 100gsm - Normally used for stationery and letterheads.
- 130 - 170gsm - Can be used for a variety of purposes depending on application as is classed as 'Paper'
- 200 to 380gsm - Mostly used for Presentation Folders, Flyers, Business Cards and work that portrays a higher quality feel.
Our 'Art' papers and boards come in either gloss or silk finishes and are fairly self explanatory. Both finishes are available in all weights.
Our stationery papers are classified as uncoated and feel like regular paper. We have selected a variety of different qualities and finishes to choose from.
